Admission into Senior One (S.1) and Senior Five (S.5) begins after UNEB releases the PLE and UCE results.
Selection and Placement
Admission through the national government selection process
As a government school, APSS admits learners into S.1 and S.5 through the national selection exercise organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Placement is based on:
- UNEB examination results
- The learner’s school choice during registration

S.2 & S.3 Admissions
Admission into S.2 and S.3 is limited and only considered in a few cases, especially for children of civil servants transferred to Arua City from other districts.
Parents or learners may apply for available vacancies by writing to the Headteacher and providing:
- Age
- Previous School Attended
- Parent/Guardian contact details
- Reason for transfer
- Recommendation letter from previous school
- Reason for transfer
